BENEFITS OF REFLEXOLOGY

It is thought that approximately 75% of disorders in the body can be related to stress and nerve tension. Some stress is not necessarily bad for us, however, when it becomes something we cannot manage well it disrupts the balance of our body, resulting in the breaking down of our defence systems and making us more susceptible to illness and disease. The body’s natural ‘fight or flight’ response is designed to be triggered in an emergency but not to cope with constant levels of stress and anxiety.

 

Whether the stress we are subjecting our bodies to is a result of work commitments, juggling the everyday needs of a family or simply the pace and expectations of modern life, we need to recognise that this can have a very detrimental effect on our health and general well-being and look at ways we can help alleviate these stresses.
